 :: Race Rules

  1. Photovoltaic (PV) panel maximum output power cannot exceed 15W.

  2. Total surface area of PV panel must be smaller than 750cm2.

  3. The surface area of model car must be larger than 200cm2.

  4. No batteries will be allowed in the model car. The sole power source for the car will be the PV panel.

  5. You are allowed to use batteries for the remote controller unit.

  6. There is going to be a visual inspection of cars before the race to determine that each car meets above limitations. Failure to comply with above will result in disqualifying of that team from the race.

  7. The race will be held in ITU stadium (if permission to use is granted). Cars will complete one tour around the stadium.

  8. Whoever finishes first will be the winner. Maximum race time will be 30 minutes. If none of the teams finishes one complete tour of the stadium during this time, then the car that travels longest at the end of the 30 minutes will be the winner.

  9. Each group will follow their way in a certain track and only one student with remote controller is allowed to maneuver from the behind of the car. The car must be within the designated track throughout the race.

 :: Your Term Project report must obey the technical report format. Each report must contain the following title page. Failure to comply will result in ZERO grade penalty.
